COMMUNITY

All members of the K-guild should feel included in the K-guild’s community.

The K-spirit should be preserved and thrive.
All members should feel welcome and included at the Guild.
A culture where members encourage and don’t discourage each other.

International students at the programs which the Guild is supervising the quality of, should be included at the Guild.

The K-guild should represent its members in study related issues and work to maintain education of high standards.

The Guild’s education supervising should be active and visible.
The Guild works to ensure world-class chemistry and biotechnology education.
The Guild pays attention to and facilitates the students’ physical and mental health.
A good relation with the Program Board, the student counselling and other instances of LTH should be maintained.

The K-guild should conduct an active collaboration with the business sector in order to offer a good relation between students and industry.

A trademark for K-students in Lund, Sweden and outside of Sweden’s borders should be created.
All programs, both bachelor and master levels, should be included in business sector related activities.
Possibilities to develop relevant professional skills not covered by the education should be provided by the Guild.

The K-guild should organize leisure activities which capture the members' common interests.

A wide range of events that attract all members should be offered.
There should be an active collaboration with the Student Union at LTH (TLTH) as well as other Guilds and organizations within TLTH.
The activities should be environmentally friendly and sustainable.

The K-guild sould conduct an active effort in order to lower the environmental impact and to achieve a more sustainable operation.

Use of not necessary disposable articles should be avoided.
Equipment and devices should, if possible and reasonable, be borrowed or purchased second-hand.
When food is being purchased for the Guild’s activities, organic and/or locally produced products should be chosen if the price difference isn’t found unreasonable. The Guild strives for season based products.
Waste from the Guild’s activities should be separated by source, no matter the place.
The K-guild should fully or partly offer vegetarian or vegan meals during events where food is offered.
