What do we do in the Pub committee?

The Pub is responsible for arranging pubs for all the members of the K-guild. We choose the theme, plan the food, drinks and purchases for the events ourselves. The pubs are then carried out by us together with members from the entire Guild, who we find through the Guild’s workers pool, so you really get the chance to meet and get to know a lot of new people if you are a part of the Pub!

By being a member of the Pub, you often work during the weekends and late evenings. However, this means that you become a very tight group with the Committee members when working together in this way.

Head of Pub Operations

As Head of Pub Operations, you get the chance to learn how to lead a small group and take on projects. There is a lot of freedom in how you choose to approach the task, but some specific points are that you learn a lot about alcohol and food handling. You also learn how to build up routines to be able to hold quite demanding events frequently. The Head of Pub Operations is the ultimate manager of the Committee, sits in the Committee Council and has budgetary responsibility. The Committee is relatively new and therefore an operation with a lot of future potential, so if you are willing to break new ground and develop the Guild, this is the right position to apply for.

Vice Head of Pub Operations

As Vice Head of Pub Operations, I assist the Head of Pub Operations in their work and am responsible for the planning, implementation and accounting of pubs. The Head of Pub Operations and I work closely together, dividing tasks between us and leading the Committee together. The position develops your leadership skills, working in a team and communicating effectively, both between the Head and Vice, within the pub, and with workers and pub guests.

The Vice Head of Pub Operations may be responsible for the headwaiters, workers, alcohol accounting, orders and evaluation of pubs. Making sure that everyone in the Committee is happy both during events and outside is another important task. The Vice may also need to do the work of the Head when they are unable to.

Pubadix

As a Pubadix you get the chance to try out all parts of the Guild’s food and drink activities. A position with a lot of freedom where the applicant gets the chance to put their own stamp on all pubs. Fun both for those who already have an interest in the area, but also for those who want to learn more about restaurant operations and event management. As a Pubadix you also get a good chance to learn about leadership and structure creation, partly to be able to manage external workers.
